Masked Rarity

After Fluttershy‘s session with the mask had finally ended, she, Twilight, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack agreed that keeping the mask in Ponyville was too dangerous, and decided to take it to Zecora, hoping she would know what to do.

As they started their journey, however, they came face to face with Pinkie Pie, who had actually been looking for the mask, herself (apparently she was so focused on finding it that she didn‘t notice when the other 4 had it). After Twilight explained what they were going to do, Pinkie tried her best to have them reconsider. This mask was the most fun Pinkie had ever had in her whole life, and there was no way she was going to let them get rid of it.

But Twilight would not, under ANY circumstances, let that mask stay in Ponyville another minute longer. And Pinkie would not take NO for answer. Unfortunately, the confrontation had then escalated into a tug of war with the mask, neither Pinkie nor Twilight giving an inch.

All the while, Rarity, in her shop near where the argument was taking place, was nearly finished with her last outfit for her upcoming summer lineup. Seeing her friends outside, she opened her nearby window, and was about to ask about the situation, but as she did so the mask had popped from out of Pinkie & Twilight’s grips, and flew into her room. Thankfully it missed her. Much to her dismay (for she thought the thing was hideous, and didn‘t really want to touch it) she reluctantly agreed to fulfill Twilight‘s request to return the mask to her.

She picked it up and was about to head outside, during which, her cat, Opalescence, had decided to, of all moments in the world, use THAT very moment to rub against her legs, causing her to trip and fall. To make matters worse, it was starting to get dark out… but before the other ponies could do anything about it, there she was. All dressed up and ready to hit the town.

“Look upon me Equestria! For I am beauty personified! I am perfection! I! AM! RARITY!”
